Donna grew up in the village of Blair, Ontario which is situated on the banks of the Grand River. This historic locale and its surroundings inspired her love of nature and consequently to sketch and paint the landscapes before her. In the late 60s' Donna studied oil painting in Waterloo, Ontario with noted artist Don R. Hall. She was active throughout the 70s' in the Kitchener Waterloo art scene exhibiting and selling oil paintings and pen sketches. Her admiration for works done in watercolour prompted her to take lessons in 1995. Donna loves the medium and is still learning.
