Rosemary Vanderkamp comes from a family of painters. Her father's work is represented in the Scottish Portrait Gallery. Rosemary did not take up painting until after her retirement. She studied, like so many other Guelph painters, under the tutelage of Ron Sainsbury who instilled into her a love of watercolours. She has pursued her art, taking workshops with such outstanding artists as Zoltan Zabo, Brian Atteo and Judi Wagner. This spring she will be studying under Frank Webb and Barbara Nechis. Rosemary has had paintings accepted into juried shows such as Expressions and Insights. She has also displayed her work at Painting on the Green, the Artisans Store, the Guelph Public Library, Dublin Street Church Fine art show and sale. She has also had shows at the Evergreen Seniors Centre, the West Hills art show and the Village at the Arbouretum. Rosemary is past president of the Evergreen Watercolour Painters Club and had previously served as Secretary of the Guelph Creative Arts Association for two
years.
