The College of Arts educates an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts population of over 6000 students and offers both magisteriate and doctoral degrees. Award winning faculty and creative practitioners in the arts contribute to a rich array of fieldsof study: students can choose to major in everything from Art History to Theatre Studies, with niche specializations such as Classical Studies, Ethics in the Life Sciences, Museum Studies, Visual Arts of the Americas, or interdisciplinary European Studies.
The College of Arts is also home to the very popular and growing Bachelor of Arts and Sciences program, a reincarnation of a traditional liberal education geared to students of the 21st century who have grown up in a "culture" in which science is much an integral part of the "everyday" as music, literature, media, and i-pods are.
