Guelph Arts Council

Guelph Arts Council is a co-ordinating / resource organization dedicated to stimulating and encouraging the development of the visual, literary, performing and heritage arts so as to enrich the cultural life of the community and to encourage the widespread appreciation of, support for and involvement in the arts.

A Time to Celebrate!

After 22 years in her position as Executive Director of Guelph Arts Council, Sally Wismer celebrated her retirement with a wonderful celebration on June 29, 2010.  The reception, which was held at the River Run Centre, was attended by over 80 friends and colleagues.  Organized by Guelph Arts Council's Board of Directors,  the celebration allowed the art community of Guelph and Wellington County an opporunity to share a memory with Sally and to show their appreciation for her many contributions to the arts.

In lieu of gifts or flowers, Sally had asked that a fund be created to support Guelph Arts Council in the years ahead.  If you would like to make a contribution towards the fund, please visit our Donations page for instructions.  All contributions are tax receiptable.
