We are an organization of craftspeople that share common interests in the arts of weaving, spinning, and basketry. We promote the crafts of spinning and weaving in our local communities of Guelph and Wellington County, and provide opportunities for learning and fellowship to our members.
Each year in November we host a community open house, FALL FIBRES, where visitors watch demonstrations, learn about the crafts, and purchase items made by Guild members.
The Guild is a member of the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners organization and is an affiliate member of the Ontario Crafts Council. The Guild celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1999.
