Welcome! I invite you to browse through my gallery to view recent paintings I have created;  most showing scenes from my travels across Canada.

Fantastic treasures await those who take the time to peer carefully into tidal pools, such as this one along the St. Lawrence River. The colours and shapes are sometimes unexpected, as are little creatures that may be darting about. Life is harsh for those that live in the inter-tidal zone, but they have many adaptations such as the air-filled bladder of the rockweed (Fucus). Striations of sedimentary rock on the south shore of the river hold numerous pools at low tide.
