In the tradition of Benjamin Britten's War Requiem, composer Peter Skoggard has set the words of Arab women poets, an Isreali mother, and Canadian poet & diplomat R.A.D. Ford, all fused into a dramatic musical telling of tragedy and hope in contemporary Bethlehem, using Arabic music idioms layered with quotes from Western Christmas traditions.
