Threadworks is a juried, travelling exhibit of needle arts where you will see traditional embroidery featured next to edgy experimental design. Each piece is unigue and is based on the show theme.
The Threadworks 2010 Travelling Show, "TREES", opens at the Wellington County Museum & Archives on April 24 and runs to June 13, 2010. Opening cermonies: May 2, 2010 between 1:00-4:00 pm.
You are invited to submit up to 3 pieces (the actual work, not photographs) by April 12, 2010.
Guidelines:
All pieces must be substantially worked with a threaded hand or machine needle and be of original design.
Entries welcome from anywhere in Canada. The maximum size is 36" x 45 " (although diptychs and triptychs are acceptable).

While entries come from across Canada, Threadworks is a special project of Ontario Network of Needleworkers' 1200 members from 23 guilds and is supported by Wellington County Museum & Archives.
Threadworks is held every three years and has just celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2007.
The Threadworks 2010 Travelling Show - "Trees" - will be travelling across Ontario to an additional 15 galleries and museums until the fall of 2012.
