Description of Activity:
Each member of the twelve memberECT Board of Directors is expected to volunteer to oversee a particular facet of the Community Theatre's operation such as costumes, marketing, secretarial duties, technical etc. The Board is elected at the Annual General meeting from among those who let their names stand, and then the "new" Board discuss and divide the various areas of responsibility.
Skills Required:
interest in community theatre
ability to work co-operatively with others
organizational skills are an asset
experience in some aspect of live theatre is advantageous but not essential
knowledge of the Centre Wellington area would be an asset
The Elora Community Theatre is a community-based amateur group which produces and presents at least three productions a year. ECT is managed by a twelve-member volunteer board of directors. Members of ECT receive regular newsletters announcing: plays, workshops, auditions, and special events. The Elora Community Theatre is a not- for- profit organization with registered charitable status.
