This year's Doors Open Guelph is just around the corner! A day-long celebration of Guelph's finest hidden gems, Doors Open Guelph’s success is due to the enthusiasm and hard work of volunteers like you. Volunteers truly make this annual attraction the event it is, and we’d love to have you involved this year.
This year’s event is on Saturday, April 22, the day before Guelph’s 190th Founders Day! We have some very exciting sites lined up, including historical homes, a peek inside the New Petrie Building and Brothers Brewing Company, as well as some beautiful local landmarks including St. George’s Church (which is celebrating its 185th anniversary!), and more. The full list is included below, and you can read about each site here.St. George's Anglican Church

We have several volunteer roles to choose from, including:
Tour Guides who present the historical buildings and creative spaces.
Greeters who meet the public and organize the tour groups.
Counters who assist the greeter and count participants.
Sweepers who follow the tours and keep participants together and moving.
Help-on-Wheels who help to deliver posters in April, or deliver signage and supply box to sites on the morning of the event, and retrieve them at the end of the day.
Volunteer shifts on event day are in the morning from 9:30 - 1:00 or in the afternoon from 12:45 - 4:15. Help-on-wheels needed pre-event and on event day.
Volunteer training is provided to Greeters, Sweeps, Counters and Tour Guides at their assigned/chosen site or on an evening in advance of the event. Training sessions are 1-2 hours.
