At each session\, participants will work together to recreate an image from an existing film. While no formal instruction is provided\, each session will be a chance to meet new collaborators\, try new techniques\, push one another to new levels\, and keep skills fresh. SUMMARY:8-Week Printmaking Class with UGDSB Continuing Education
DESCRIPTION:Wednesdays\, January 18 – March 8\, 2023 | 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. | $100 \nOtherwise Studios has partnered with the Upper Grand District School Board Centre for Continuing Education to offer a series of classes this winter! \nIn this 8-week series\, participants will learn a variety of printmaking mediums and methods including linoblock\, monotype\, and press-less “kitchen” lithography. Participants will learn the basics of designing\, creating\, and printing their image and will build on their skills to try out different techniques including multi-colour printmaking\, creating editions\, and hybrid printmaking. Historical and contemporary examples and theories will be woven into each class to support participant learning. \nThese classes will take place at the Wellington Centre for Continuing Education. DESCRIPTION:Every session is different! \nEvery art class we learn how to draw and paint. We use different materials – acrylic\, watercolor\, gouache\, oil and soft pastels\, color pencils\, gel pens or mix them together. Sometimes we focus only on drawing and dry materials. \nEvery art class we talk about art fundаmеntals – composition\, tonal value\, color theory. We also study art history – world famous artists and we have some themes about Multicultural celebrations. \n1 class = 1 hour. All supplies provided. $270+tax. \nWinter session 2022 includes 10 art classes. No class on March 16 ! \nArt instructor – Yulia Balobanova Art classes will be in her home studio in Guelph\, South End\, Gordon st / Clairfield dr.

DESCRIPTION:USE Code VIP2023 at checkout to save over $100. \nA hands-on\, in-person weekly class (4 sessions) where you will create your own art piece with photographs and encaustic medium. \nLearn in a great supportive space and meet like-minded people.  \n4 consecutive Tuesday evenings\, starting January 24th\, for 2 hours each night\, you will go through the steps to create a photo encaustic with 3-D texture. You will learn how to mold the wax/encaustic meduim so you can create physical depth in your art work.  \nAll supplies included. \nNo experience necessary\, just a willingness to have fun!  \nEncaustic painting is the process of using melted and pigmented beeswax mixed with damar resin to create exciting\, luminous painting.
