DESCRIPTION:Intro to Photoshop – Level 1\nOnline class\, live via Zoom\nWednesdays\, Feb. 7 to Mar. 13\, 2024. 6:30 to 9:00 pm EDT\nAges 16+.  Rating: Beginner.\nInstructor:  Sylvia Galbraith\n \nThis instructor-led course is taught using Zoom\, and is designed for photographers interested in learning the features of Photoshop CC to edit and enhance their images.  Topics include image sizing for various outputs\, workflow\, colour corrections\, retouching\, selections\, layers\, and more.  Each class will allow hands-on practice and discussion as you follow along with the instructor.  Participants need a laptop or computer with a current version of Adobe Photoshop CC installed\, internet and webcam capabilities and should have a working knowledge of basic computer skills.  Can’t make every class?  No problem – students will have access to class recordings for one month after the end date. \nAdobe Photography Plan (Photoshop & Lightroom) – required for course. \nDownload information for Zoom will be provided upon registration. \nIncludes: \n– 6 weekly on-line classes of approx. 2.5 hours each\n– class recording\n– course material in pdf form \nFee: $295.00 + HST \nRegister Online or call 519-787-7040 to register by phone.

SUMMARY:Making Photos 3D: Camera Mapping in Blender
DESCRIPTION:Facilitated by Chris Fast \nWhat is camera mapping? It is rebuilding the 3D geometry of a photo and then projecting that photo texture onto the 3D geometry. It’s a cost effective and simple way to recreate a real life scene or object in 3D (or\, with AI\, anything you can imagine!)\, and it’s a fundamental technique of modern VFX. \nAfter going over the beginner basics of navigation and manipulation in Blender\, participants will begin the camera mapping journey which includes projecting a photo texture onto a 2D sign and mapping textures onto cuboid shaped models. Using open source program fspy\, participants will then learn to perfectly calculate the camera perspective of an interior scene\, import it into Blender\, make the geometry of the scene\, and then project the image onto the geometry to create a neat little scene! \nParticipants will need a laptop or computer\, a scroll-wheel mouse and a free download of Blender. Ed Video has a limited amount of laptops available for members to use during the workshop.
