DESCRIPTION:Gwelf Early Days Tour \nThe August 16 event is full\, however if you join the waitlist perhaps a new walk will be added! \nA moving theatrical journey. Prepare to be transported. Historical recitations from the writings of Charles Pryor\, Charles Acton Burrows\, Charles Foster\, John Galt\, Henrietta Hazelwood and others. Stories such as The Felling of the Tree\, The Baby Contest\, The Tornado 1829\, Clearing the Land\, The First Four To Die\, Guelph’s First Blushing Bride\, Temperance\, Railway Fever\, and The Monument\, along with local 19’th century poetry – To The City Of Guelph\, Canadian Recollections\, and Mourn Not The Aged\, all recited from memory. Not for young children. 90 minute tour. 3Kms \nBack by more than just popular demand. \nI am delighted to say that the Gwelf Early Days walking tour is very very popular. Even though I have announced it is over\, I keep getting requests to bring it back\, so… \nYou can enjoy this tour this summer\, free of charge\, if you hurry. \nMy good friends at the Guelph Public Library are sponsoring this storytelling walking tour\, Tues August 16 at 6pm. \nBring a friend or partner\, or come by yourself. You’ll find it amusing\, enlightening and loads of fun. Add fresh air and mild exercise and enjoyment is guaranteed. \nI’d love to be your host.
