SUMMARY:Youth Animation Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:PortPrep’s Youth Animation Summer Camp August 4 to 10 is for students aged 11-15\, and helps to build the preliminary skills necessary for studying animation later in their lives. It is 6 days long\, with 2 workshops per day\, some evening games and activities\, and overall is just a ton of fun culminating in a presentation of the story at the Open House Event at the end of the camp. Enrol as a day camper or stay overnight with us in our welcoming residence in Guelph Junction Village.

DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP\n\n\n\n\nThis workshop is designed to shift you from shooting in semi-manual modes to full manual mode\, allowing you to have more control over your camera and creativity. \nBy the end of this course\, you will have the foundation needed to delve into the advanced genres of photography such as portraiture\, street photography\, family\, food\, and wedding photography. \n\n\nShooting in full manual mode \n\n\nHDR (High Dynamic Range) \n\n\nPanning\, light painting\, metering \n\n\nFlash\, histograms\, long exposures \n\n\nAdvanced composition techniques \n\n\nPre-requisites: You must be 100% comfortable in : \n\n\nShooting in both priority modes \n\n\nKnow the basic relationship between shutter speeds\, aperture and ISO settings \n\n\nExposure compensations \n\n\nWhite Balance \n\n\nMetering Types \n\n\nIf your current knowledge in photography does not include these pre-requisites\, we highly recommend you attend the Stage 1 Digital Photography Workshop first. SUMMARY:era of an end – new exhibition at Ed Video
DESCRIPTION:  \nIn gratitude for receiving this year’s Kenny Doren award\, annais linares will mount era of an end\, a newly developed sound and visual installation\, in the Ed Video gallery. Earlier this year\, annais received news that her landlords were returning back to their Guelph home – meaning she would have to move. She arrived at The Ward in September 2020 from California to begin grad school and hardly knew anyone. Since then\, she’s grown to love Guelph and all its beings! This installation is a kiss goodbye to her Johnston house which held her in the darkest of isolation-times\, as well as a goodbye to The Ward\, Guelph\, and all the relationships she made throughout the last four years overall. \nExhibition Reception: Thursday August 22nd\, 7-9pm
