DESCRIPTION:The AGG Volunteer Association is pleased to host a variety of knowledgeable appraisers to assess and evaluate your prized possessions and unusual finds. McMaster Fine Art invites you to bring your treasures and heirlooms to the Art Gallery of Guelph for an Antiques Roadshow-style event! Get on-the-spot verbal appraisals for jewellery\, art\, Inuit objects\, textile art\, stamps\, and coins from the region’s experts. \nPurchase tickets here > \nTickets are $20 per item\, or three items for $50. Each ticket represents one item for appraisal\, with a maximum of three items for appraisal per person. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door for walk-ins on a first-come\, first-served basis – priced at $20 per ticket with a maximum of three tickets per person. \n\nCategories: \n1. Jewellery and metalwork \n2. Unframed or framed art and Canadiana \n3. Inuit art or objects \n4. Textile art \n5. Glassware and pottery \n6. Stamps and coins \n\nConsiderations when purchasing your tickets: \n– Appraisals are informal and may not be used for insurance or charitable donation purposes which require certified appraisals \n– Appraisals are focused on jewellery\, art (unframed or framed)\, Inuit art or objects\, textile art\, glassware\, and pottery \n– Please do not leave appraisal objects unattended \n– No refunds will be given for appraisals \n– Pre-registrants are guaranteed an appraisal time \n– Appraisals for walk-ins will be available on a first come\, first serve basis\, time permitting \n– Observations of appraisals will be allowed in accordance with space capacity \n– The Art Gallery of Guelph and appraisers are not responsible for loss or damage to items brought for appraisal \n– For insurance purposes\, AGG staff cannot handle\, store\, or be responsible for items brought to the event

You may credit this purchase towards your membership fee later. \n\nMichael’s Bio and More about the Mississippi Textile Museum\nMichael has been Executive Director/Curator of the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum since July 1\, 2007. One of his most exciting projects at the museum has been the Millworkers’ Reunion. This began with recording oral histories from former millworkers – memories from the actual folks who worked in the mill makes the past come alive – and it led to a number of thrilling artifact donations to the museum\, including paystubs\, tools\, photos\, and even water purifiers. \nThe Mississippi Valley Textile Museum collects\, preserves\, and tells the stories of the mill workers and the local labour history while offering an open\, inclusive space for the local community and visitors from across the globe.
