DESCRIPTION:The Image Makers \nFacilitated by Greg Elgie \nFREE\, click here for more info. \nDate: Thursday\, January 12th 7-9PM \nThe Image Makers is a monthly gathering of video and cinema makers who are dedicated to the craft of moving imagery\, with a particular focus on lighting design. At each session\, participants will work together to recreate an image from an existing film. While no formal instruction is provided\, each session will be a chance to meet new collaborators\, try new techniques\, push one another to new levels\, and keep skills fresh. DESCRIPTION:USE Code VIP2023 at checkout to save over $100. \nA hands-on\, in-person weekly class (4 sessions) where you will create your own art piece with photographs and encaustic medium. \nLearn in a great supportive space and meet like-minded people.  \n4 consecutive Tuesday evenings\, starting January 24th\, for 2 hours each night\, you will go through the steps to create a photo encaustic with 3-D texture. You will learn how to mold the wax/encaustic meduim so you can create physical depth in your art work.  \nAll supplies included. \nNo experience necessary\, just a willingness to have fun!  \nEncaustic painting is the process of using melted and pigmented beeswax mixed with damar resin to create exciting\, luminous painting.
