I Made This - Eclectic Paintings by a Migrating Bird

Paintings by Katie Wilde

April 1 - 15
All are invited to a closing reception: Friday, April 12, 6-8pm

Featuring birds, plants, and strange perspectives, these paintings are not so much part of a series as they are connected by their maker. Before Katie moves across the country, she wanted to share some of the paintings made over the last few years.

Keen on ideas of containment and freedom, Katie paints spaces reminiscent of absent humans, as well as plants, fungus, and birds as characters with agency and personal histories.

She thinks birds are magical, ridiculous, and heaps of fun to watch and to paint.

Katie has a BFA from the University of Ottawa. After five awesome years in Guelph, she is now migrating to new artistic adventures in southern Alberta.

Please connect with Katie if you'd like to talk about art, cool birds, or coping with Lethbridge's 100 kph winds.

Payment plans are available for larger paintings.
