Passionate Heart, Women’s stories through Dance was developed in 2018 by senior dance artists Suzette Sherman and Michele Green in collaboration with Dancetheatre David Earle. Since May 2018, they have performed in Alton, Guelph, Kingston, Kitchener, St. Jacobs, London, Eden Mills and Orangeville.
The hour long program includes a short introductory talk, five dances and ends with a short group discussion.
Dance is the physical portrayal of storytelling. The stories explore friendship, loneliness, despair, grief, entrapment and redemption, all feelings made more relevant in these difficult times.
Passionate Heart removes lights, stage and costumes to present a raw, intimate experience between dancers and audience.
