By addressing the role that frames play in a presenting artwork at a museum,
'Framing Histories' traces their development from devices to highlight photographic
images to elaborately carved and decorated works of art. This selection of frames
and artwork presents an intriguing example of design, ornament, and craftsmanship,
demonstrating the importance of frames as artefacts in a museum collection.
