It started with a stubborn rose that hung on, even as the late fall dew turned into ice crystals. So reminiscent of my stubborn father. The rose was immortalized into stained glass and from there my journey continued into glass mosaic and Saori-style weaving.
Although fiber and glass may seem diametrically opposed - one soft, the other hard - both materials delight me with the vibrancy of colour and the rhythm of creating a whole from many parts.
My desire is to create \"with soul\" (Lelkessen) and my hope is that my work will reflect that.
