SYLVIA GALBRAITH, based in Fergus, ON, is a photographic artist whose traditional methods of image creation are combined with a contemporary practice of video and installation. Her work demonstrates a deep connection with the landscapes and people found in some of Canada’s loneliest places. Galbraith has participated in residencies in Newfoundland, Banff and Northern Ontario, and has exhibited her work in solo and exhibitions across Canada. She is a photography instructor at Conestoga College, Kitchener and teaches from her Fergus studio, as well as for arts organizations across Canada.
