Anthony Campbell was born in Liverpool U.K. He was awarded an educational scholarship to Liverpool Art High School age thirteen. Emigrated to Canada 1982 and fell in love with the work of Emily Carr and the Group of Seven. Obtained a B.A Sociology and a B.A Social work at McMaster University and later worked with Young Offenders at Hamilton Detention Centre. He studied the Graphic Arts, Photolithography, and Photography while still honing his drawing and painting skills. He has exhibited work at The Bluecoat and Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.
