Call for Exhibitions
Main Gallery Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre and Corridor Galleries in Town of Oakville Facilities

The Town of Oakville welcomes proposals from artists, collectives, curators and community groups in the areas of fine art, craft, performance art and digital arts for the following exhibition spaces:
- Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre Main Gallery and Corridor Galleries
- Trafalgar Park Community Centre (TPCC) Corridor Gallery
- Glen Abbey Community Centre (GACC) Corridor Gallery
- Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre (OTCC) Corridor Gallery
The Exhibitions Committee reviews proposals twice a year.

The Main Gallery at QEPCCC presents professional artwork by local artists. Content ranges from historical to contemporary themes. Exhibitions may also include works by national and international artists and exhibitions proposed by curators or collectives. Rental rates are for a minimum of three weeks and range from $313.31 to 375.97 + tax weekly (2024-25 rates). Open a floor plan of the Main Gallery (pdf, 173 KB). We invite artists at any stage in their career to apply to exhibit original artwork in the Town of Oakville’s Recreation and Culture community centres. These public exhibition spaces provide a platform for professional and emerging artists, instructors and students in the community at large. Exhibiting in the corridors is free. Exhibitions are on display for approximately four months. We are currently booking exhibitions for January 2024 and beyond.
- QEPCCC Corridor Galleries offer a total of 4 km of exhibition hallways throughout the community centre. Up to 10 exhibitions are scheduled in each of the three seasons. Open a map of the QEPCCC corridors (pdf, 1.9 MB) and Corridor Gallery Guide (pdf, 2 MB).
- TPCC offers 30 running feet of prominent exhibition space in a main corridor with high ceilings. This centre is home to a permanent display by the Oakville Museum, as well as outdoor public artwork by artist Laura Marotta.
- GACC offers 43 running feet of exhibition space in a main hallway in the fitness area. This centre features a public library, active fitness centre, pool and arenas.
- OTCC is the town’s newest community centre with 52 running feet of exhibition space on the main floor. This centre is home to a permanent display by the Oakville Museum, as well as a public artwork by artist Barb Choit in the Galleria.

Applications
Consult our Exhibition page for an application form as well as the Temporary Corridors Exhibition Purpose and Procedures or the QEPCCC Main Gallery Exhibition Purpose and Procedures for more information. Applications must include:
- Exhibition Application Form PDF.
- Proposal – Word document or PDF with written proposal with details regarding the issues or ideas explored, as well as the type of medium and format of the works to be exhibited, in three paragraphs or less.
- Five to 10 Images – Five to ten JPEG images of your work sent via email or delivered on USB drive, CD and/or DVD. Images must be PC compatible in JPEG format, and a maximum of 1 MB file size (maximum resolution of 1024×768 pixels at 72dpi). PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, PDFs or large TIFF files will not be accepted. Do not send original artwork.
- Image List – Word document or PDF with a corresponding image list. Label all materials and list the works numerically, indicating each title, year of production, materials used and overall dimensions.
- Resume – Word document or PDF with a current resume listing your training/education, exhibitions, grants/awards and other professional art experience. Please keep qualifications to a three-page maximum.
