Calling all artists, curators, and creative technologists interested in the topic of borders and states!
Trinity Square Video is seeking submissions for our annual Themed Commission: a summer residency and exhibition program inviting artists, designers, filmmakers and other creatives to produce or workshop new projects in a collaborative environment of like-minded artists.
This year’s theme invites project proposals that explore and critique the concept of borders and its relation to form, aesthetic, design, and methodology, as well as climate, geopolitics, nationhood, surveillance, immigration, indigeneity, and sovereignty.
We encourage proposals that are experimental, playful, and interdisciplinary. From mid-May to mid-August, successful applicants will engage in idea exchange and collaboration through regular meetings with other artists-in-residence. They will also have access to mentorship, production gear, and other resources to complete and present their proposed project in a group exhibition at Trinity Square Video.
This year’s Themed Commission program will be curated by Christina Oyawale and Karina Iskandarsjah.
