Forest Spaces at the 2022 Scotiabank Contact Festival

A group photographic exhibit featuring the ethereal spaces of forests (“Forest Spaces”) is being curated for the 2022 Contact Festival. The exhibition will take place in approximately 25 venues (store front windows) along Queen Street East in the Toronto Beaches community. There will also be an Opening Event at one of the locations where the photographic images will be exhibited inside the store, and can be made available for sale.
Both emerging and experienced photographic artists are invited to submit an artist statement or a few words about your creative process (max 50 words), and 3-5 jpegs (colour or b/w; no larger than 2 mb) via email to [email protected]. Images can include both landscape and macro representing the theme of forests and forest life. The deadline to submit is February 11, 2022. Submissions will be juried by a small committee, and selected artists will be notified by March 4, 2022 and provided with further details. There is no cost to submit. Selected photographers will be asked to print and frame their images for display, up to a maximum size of 36”-36” by April 8, 2022.
