The Research and Renewal Award Application is now open!
This award will provides artists with the funds to research and interpret local stories and histories, to engage with Guelph residents through their artistic projects, and to build community connections.
Who is Eligible
Anyone living or working in Guelph’s creative sector is invited to submit proposals for creative projects that engage community archives, collections or other resources in researching and interpreting local stories.
What is Eligible
Any project that engages with themes and research related to regional history, culture and storytelling. We are open to any and all disciplines (visual art, dance, music, literary arts, etc.) Proposals do not need to include a fully realized artistic project but rather a specific topic or theme to explore in their research, what medium they would like to work within, and a general idea of what their final project could entail. We encourage artists to apply with a potential research partner in mind (details found below).
Amount of Award
This grant will fund one or more projects of $500-$1500.
