Thank you for your interest in showing in our 3rd Floor Gallery.
We are accepting submissions for the 2023 exhibition year from January 23, 2023 to January 27, 2023. No submissions received outside of those dates will be considered.
Please include the following with your submission:
– Your contact information
– Curriculum Vitae / Artist Biography
A Curriculum Vitae (CV) will let us know your art-related experience, education, and shows that you have been in. Your artist bio will give us a look into who you are and what kind of art you make.
– 5-10 images of your work in a jpeg/png format. Please send the best photos possible, with good lighting and focus. Some installation views are also acceptable.
– A brief proposal/ concept/ artist’s statement that gives context/ intent and will help guide the committee in it’s decision-making process.
-All work must be ready to hang and we can only accept work that can be hung on a wall.
-Selected artists will be notified by the week of February 6th. This will also include more detailed information for showing.
-In addition to the non-refundable $25 application fee, there is a $100 fee for accepted artists. This fee will cover a blog post on the website, social media posts, an opening reception, and help defray the cost of installation.
-We do not charge a commission on sales, and all inquiries will be directed to the artist. We encourage the artist to promote the show, and it is your responsibility to engage in any promotion of the show not mentioned above.
-The 3rd Floor Gallery is accessible by stairs only. It is a shared space with our GSA classroom. When there is no conflict with a GSA class, the Gallery is open for viewing Monday to Friday 3:00pm-5:00pm or by appointment.
-There will be art classes taking place while shows are hanging, and while we are not liable for any damage to the work, we will take reasonable precautions to keep everything clean, to the best of our abilities.
