Rebecca (Atkinson) Morris is a Montreal writer of literary fiction. Originally from Guelph, Rebecca taught high school before turning to writing full time. Her stories have won the Malahat Review Open Season Award for Fiction and the Humber Literary Review’s Emerging Writers Fiction contest. She also received Honourable Mention in Prairie Fire’s 2018 Fiction contest and has published stories in many Canadian literary magazines. She is a Banff Centre alumna, recipient of a Canada Council Arts grant and an active member of the Quebec Writers’ Federation. As well as teaching writing workshops, Rebecca offers manuscript evaluations, developmental editing and coaching. Her debut novel, Other Maps, is forthcoming in September 2024 from Linda Leith Publishing. She is currently working on her second novel.
