Nina was born in Belgrade, former Yugoslavia and came to Canada as a young child. She is a lifelong pianist who began composing music at the age of seventeen. Her sound is born of her Balkan heritage, 90s childhood, and classical piano training. Nina’s dynamic music is emotional and introspective and spans various forms from solo piano to electro-infused soul.

 With the support of both Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council, 2022 will see Nina release her first full-length album. Za Klavir: For the Piano is a collection of 24 original compositions for solo piano combining minimal, contemporary, and classical roots with elements of Balkan folk.

The generous assistance of CCA and OAC has also facilitated the concurrent development of LEVELSEVEN, a project on which Nina is the vocalist, songwriter, and producer of an album of intimate and inventive pop music.
