Honouring and Healing Together: In recognition of Orange Shirt Day and The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Join students, faculty and staff as we come together in ceremony honouring Residential School Survivors and the children who never returned home. The ceremony will be led by Elders Dan and Mary Lou Smoke and hosted by the Indigenous Student Centre and Indigenous Initiatives and in collaboration with the Indigenous Student Society. All students, faculty and staff are welcome and may wish to attend for the opening at noon or to drop by as they can.

Please join the Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre for their National Day of Truth and Reconciliation Day Event featuring a sacred fire, drum circle, and crafts. This event is taking place on September 30th from 3:30-5:30pm at the Sacred Fire at Royal City Park in Guelph. Participants are encouraged to wear orange in solidarity.
