Hot Pizza Studio is a space for creative expression through hands-on art-making. They explore a wide range of methods and materials—drawing, painting, sculpting, sewing, designing, graphic arts, collage, papier mâché, and more. Their approach blends skill-building with the development of executive function, social connection, self-confidence, perseverance, and joyful play. They believe that when students of all ages are given the space to explore their ideas and bring them to life, they thrive—creatively, socially, and emotionally.
Hot Pizza Studio is currently seeking candidates to fill TWO Faculty positions for the Fall/Winter (2025) semester.
For the first position, they are seeking an educator who has experience teaching hands-on/skill-building to children ages 8 – 12.This means helping to refine drawing skills (realistic, volumetric, perspective, character studies, etc), painting (still life, landscape, paint handling, gradients in acrylic and, potentially, oil), and mixed media compositional exploration (collage, chalk/oil pastels, etc). Faculty lead their own curriculum development, with input from Hot Pizza admin. Seeking candidates who are knowledgeable, warm, and supportive, yet will push students to reach new heights. Vulnerable Sector Check/Level 3 clearance required and candidate is, ideally, CPR/AED certified. Candidate must be available one evening during the week from 6:15 pm to 8:15 pm to teach the class.
