Art on the Street 2023

Vendor Applications are now closed.

The deadline to apply is March 5th 2023 at 11:59pm.

Art on the Street is co-presented with Downtown Guelph Business Association and features contemporary fine art and craft. The juried event has grown since 2003 to become Guelph’s largest outdoor exhibition and sale. Art on the Street spotlights talent within the regional arts community and offers a fresh-air art experience for Guelph’s residents and visitors. Each year, established and emerging artists showcase their works to several thousand visitors in temporary, open-air studios. Art on the Street is a free event which welcomes art lovers of all ages.

This year Art on the Street is taking place June 24th 2023, 10am to 5pm. Rain or Shine!

Preparation is underway for Art on the Street (AOTS). This year we saw an opportunity to get even more artists involved in this beloved event by hosting a Youth Poster Contest for AOTS with the winning design to be used for the event’s posters and promotion. There were so many wonderful designs from youth between the ages of 1 to 21! GAC will be displaying all of this year’s submissions at our booth during Art on the Street. We encourage you to stop by and check them out!

GAC wishes to introduce and offer our congratulations to this year’s successful artist, Eleanor Stewart!

Eleanor Stewart is an emerging artist based in Guelph and Ottawa. While studying Studio Art and Mathematics at the University of Guelph, she creates bright and bold illustrations. Using paint markers, gouache, coloured pencils, and acrylic paint, Stewart’s stylized imagery and ideas aim to produce joy within herself and others. Her work is full of long limbs, hands, and unusual combinations of subject matter tied together with brilliant colours.
