Guelph Arts Council Golden Anniversary Celebration Members Exhibition Submission Guidelines

Submission Guidelines:
- Eligibility: Only current members of Guelph Arts Council are eligible to submit their artwork for the Guelph Arts Council Golden Anniversary Celebration. If you are not a member, you may register to become one at www.guelpharts.ca/become-a-member
- Medium: We are accepting submissions of 2D artworks only. This includes paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, and mixed media works.
- Size Limitation: Artworks must be no larger than 30×36 inches, including the frame. Please ensure that your artwork has no more than a depth of 3 inches.
- Hanging Requirements: All accepted artworks must have a wire and/or D-ring properly affixed to the back for easy hanging.
- Artwork Limit: Each artist may submit 2 pieces for consideration.
- Submission Deadline: The deadline for submissions is Nov 4th, 2025 @11:59pm. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Selection Process: Due to limited space, we may not be able to accommodate all submitted artworks for display. Our goal is to ensure that as many identities, practices, mediums and themes are represented as possible to demonstrate Guelph’s vast talent and creativity.
Notification: Selected artists will be notified via email by Nov 6th. If your artwork is chosen for display; below are art work drop off and pick up dates. Please note that if you cannot make it during these times you must arrange for someone to pick up and/or drop off on your behalf. Guelph Arts Council is located at 55 Wyndham St N Suite 22B, Guelph, ON N1H 7T8.
DROP OFF: Friday Nov 7th, 9am-4pm
PICK UP: Tuesday Dec 2nd, 9am-4pm
Submission Process: To submit your artwork for the Guelph Arts Council Golden Anniversary Celebration Members Exhibition please follow these steps:
- Prepare the following information in the form linked here:
- Your name
- Contact information (phone number and email address)
- Title of the artwork
- Medium
- Dimensions (including frame size)
- Attach a high-quality image(s) of your artwork. The image should accurately represent the piece(s) you are submitting.
Important Notes:
- By submitting your artwork, you grant Guelph Arts Council the right to use images of your artwork for promotional purposes related to the Guelph Arts Council Golden Anniversary Celebration.
- Artists are responsible for the transportation of their artwork to and from Guelph Arts Council (55 Wyndham St N Suite 22B, Guelph, ON N1H 7T8)
- Art work drop off will be Friday Nov 7th between 9am and 4pm. If you are unavailable to drop off during these times you must arrange for someone to drop off on your behalf.
- Art work pick up will be Tuesday Dec 2nd between 9am and 4pm. If you are unavailable to drop off during these times you must arrange for someone to drop off on your behalf.
