Drop by between 10am to 4pm every Wednesday for a chill and artsy space to work!
Best of all, its free for GAC members!
Bring your laptop or notebook and come work with us on Wednesdays* – be in a creative space, play our office guitar and help us create community.
*This is our day-to-day office, and we are happy to share what we feel is a positive and healthy working environment with you, our GAC members. So with that in mind, we have a few “housekeeping” guidelines:
- Be good to each other! We are all art professionals here, and sometimes we are passionate about things, but let’s try to remember we all have different needs and lived experiences, so let’s keep that in mind as we build community in this space.
- We need to say this one: Guelph Arts Council has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to abuse, bullying, or malicious behaviour of any kind. Guelph Arts Council staff or volunteers have the right to ask any visitor to leave for any reason including action or behaviour that violates this. But we know you are all wonderful and that’s unlikely to be necessary.
- We can’t store things for you, sorry. And that includes any messes! Let’s all clean up after ourselves, please.
- Please treat the artBar like a library or coffee shop. Leave messier or louder materials for studio-specific spaces. Thank you.
- Printing/scanning. Will we print a page or two for you? Sure! Will we print your 1000-page manuscript? That we won’t do.
