What is “the space between”? For some it’s the distance between two objects. For others, it’s the concept of negative space. And for yet others, it’s the emotional distance between two people. Drop by Artworks Gallery Guelph (404 York Road) to see how our gallery artists have explored this theme. Patti Collins is presenting her sculptures in light along with highly textured abstract paintings. Scenes of nature and waterscapes have captured the imagination of chalk pastel artist, Suzanne Wakefield. Nancy Farrell ‘s dramatic abstracts create splashes of colour and movement, with themes of outer space and bucolic forest paths. Sharyn Seibert has pushed boundaries by creating a glass and canvas installation as well as reminisces around travel and beloved countries. We are also excited to showcase the work of Kate Rogers, our Featured Artist who has installed a series of 6 paintings that investigate her development from childhood beliefs to a present reality of confidence and artistic fervour. This collection has been one of the most challenging shows to date and we’d love for you to visit. We are open daily from 10am to 4pm.
