Long considered a true art form, black & white photography presents its own unique challenges. This workshop will take you beyond simply flipping your image to greyscale…we’ll look at choosing your subject, working with dramatic lighting (natural and artificial), dynamic range, assessing brightness levels, and much more. We will also look at editing your files, examining different options for converting files to black & white, and applying special effects. Taught live via Zoom, students can ask questions throughout the workshop. Access to the class recording and the editing handout will be provided for later practice.
Suitable for intermediate to advanced photographers with a basic working knowledge of editing software such as Photoshop or Lightroom.
