era of an end – new exhibition at Ed Video

In gratitude for receiving this year’s Kenny Doren award, annais linares will mount era of an end, a newly developed sound and visual installation, in the Ed Video gallery. Earlier this year, annais received news that her landlords were returning back to their Guelph home – meaning she would have to move. She arrived at The Ward in September 2020 from California to begin grad school and hardly knew anyone. Since then, she’s grown to love Guelph and all its beings! This installation is a kiss goodbye to her Johnston house which held her in the darkest of isolation-times, as well as a goodbye to The Ward, Guelph, and all the relationships she made throughout the last four years overall.
