Come join for a free event (indoor panel – rain or shine) launching Matheson’s yearlong love story with trees as told through a Sound Walk onsite at the Arboretum University of Guelph.
The event will start with short talks with the very diverse “tree team”  ( artists, elders, poets, musicians, horticulturalists, eco-psychologist…) Matheson has assembled.
Artist Richelle Forsey will be launching her visual version of Matheson’s soundwalk as well.
The panel ends in a tree planting with live music (SOUND BOUND) on Johnson’s Green where Matheson and team are creating a Tree Wellness Circle…
Facebook RVSP: How To Draw A Tree– Sound Walk
Matheson’s participatory art project brings individuals living with mental illnesses together with trees for a yearlong creative, care-taking, reciprocal engagement culminating in an immersive public sound walk.
The second phase of the project is announced this day, introducing students living with mental illness embarking on their own journey with trees in the How to Draw a Forest project.
