International Women's Day

Each year on March 8th, International Women’s Day is celebrated around the world to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women. Across the globe, we honour women’s accomplishments and push for women’s rights. This year’s theme is #EmbraceEquity. In Canada, we have much to celebrate, but a long way to go to achieve full equality for all women. All are welcome! You can wear pink or purple to show your support for women, but it’s your International Women’s Day and you can wear what you want. Some posters, signs and noisemakers will be available and we’ll have some supplies to make your own on site, but feel free to bring your own from home!
