Open Call for Submissions: low hanging fruits

Ed Video Media Arts Centre is seeking video works from racialized LGBTQ2SIA+ artists to be shown at our pride event: low hanging fruits.

June is both Pride Month and National Indigenous History Month so priority will be given to indigiqueer and Two-spirit artists.

We are seeking video works no longer than 10 minutes in duration to be displayed without audio, only visuals, and selected artists will receive an honorarium of $150 for the presentation of their work. The videos will serve as a backdrop to the karaoke party.

We are seeking works that are centred on sex, queer futures, cyber culture, bimbofication, kink, drag, BDSM, social media, y2k aesthetics and reality TV – think gay, think sexy. This is an open call for submissions curated by artist, curator and Ed Video’s very own Education Coordinator, Maddie Lychek.
