$25.00 – $50.00

This workshop teaches participants essential tools and creative techniques for sound design using Ableton.

Instructed by Stephen Surlin, this workshop reviews tools for sound design that can be used in film, theatre, games, and sound effects, using experimental features of Ableton. This includes the use of effects and instruments as well as the use of free plug-ins to create sound that can be modified in Ableton. These plugins use granular, spectral and modular synthesis. Some experience with Ableton Live is recommended.

Participants will need a laptop with Ableton Live. Ed Video has a limited amount of laptops with Ableton Live Intro available for members to use. Non-members may rent a laptop for an additional $10 +HST.
