This last session in the series is called Tending the Branches: Community Building Through Poetry: 

About the lead facilitator: Kai Cheng Thom, is a writer, performer, wicked witch and lasagna lover who was born on unceded Coast Salish territory in Vancouver and currently makes her home in Toronto, the Dish With One Spoon treaty territory. She has been a featured performer and workshop facilitator at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word and Verses International Poetry Festival, among others. Her debut collection of poetry a place called No Homeland was a Lambda Literary Award Finalist. She is also the author of a novel, Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars, and a children’s book, From the Stars in the Sky to the Fish in the Sea.

**Due to grant funding to support accessible programming during the pandemic, this workshop is highly subsidized for participants. Poetry workshops typically cost around $25 per session **
