Today, Thursday, is the last day to bid in the Collector’s Dilemma, our online fundraising auction. It’s not too late to join the fun and scoop up some original art at great prices before bidding closes at 9 p.m.
You can still create an account and bid online. Bidding has been hot on some items, while a few others remain at their minimum bids, and some minimum bids have recently been reduced. Winning bidders will be notified after the auction closes. Payment is by PayPal through the auction site. Art will be available for local pick-up when physical-distancing recommendations are relaxed. (Shipping may also be possible at the buyer’s expense.)
Thanks to the generosity of local art collectors, an amazing collection of quality artwork, in a range of media, styles, sizes, and values is up for auction. Works include oil, acrylic and watercolour paintings; prints and drawings; wood, glass, and textile art, and more.
Like many others, creative workers and the organizations that support them have been hit hard by cancellations and closures. Collector’s Dilemma itself was planned as a live event and cancelled due to COVID-19. GAC is grateful to the community for helping us support the arts in these challenging times. As of this morning, we had reached 66% of our goal for the online auction.
The arts help us cope, connect and heal. Thank you for your support.
