Reflections poster

This fall, thirteen young Guelph artists, cultural managers, and musicians have worked with local mentors in the second round of the Guelph Young Artist Mentorship Project. Reflections is an exhibition of work created and curated by these young artists, and a culminating event for the fall round. The exhibition runs from December 4 – 15 at 10C Shared Space, 42 Carden St., Guelph, with a reception on Sunday, December 10 from 1 – 4 pm. The reception will include a performance by music participants Braden Phelan and Liv Cazzola at 2:30 pm. GAC and SOFAM are grateful for project support from the Ontario150 Partnership Program.

The Young Artist Mentorship Project supports young artists in the critical transition from university to professional life. Through the project, young musicians, cultural managers, and visual artists work with established-artist mentors to develop the professional networks and business and management skills that they need to build careers as creative entrepreneurs. Established-artist mentors benefit from developing new mentorship skills. The application process for mentors and young artists interested in participating in the Winter 2018 round will be announced. In the meantime, inquiries can be directed to Guelph Arts Council at [email protected] or 519-836-3280.
