The 2026 Jury Committee of the Guelph Studio Tour is excited to welcome applications from Guelph emerging artists who are in the early stages of their careers for the 2026 Studio Tour event, Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18.
Through our partnerships with local galleries in Guelph, selected artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their work during the tour weekend in a supportive, professional gallery setting. This program is a wonderful way to gain experience working with galleries and may offer opportunities for mentorship within the organization.
Artists may participate as emerging artists for up to two years and are encouraged to apply as full tour members in the future. Please note that participation in this program does not guarantee acceptance into the main tour, and all artists must apply each year.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be in the early stages of their career (practicing under 5 years)
- Must not currently operate a permanent studio on the tour
- Must be the original creator of their work, handmade, or artist designed (no mass productions or AI generated works).
- Must be able to attend the tour weekend in person, at their selected gallery
- Artists local to Guelph
Participation Requirements:
- All accepted artists pay an annual fee of $150
- Artists must be able to participate in group shows or events during the year, prior to the Guelph Studio Tour weekend
- Work submitted in the application must be consistent with the finished work that will be shown at the Guelph Studio Tour exhibitions.
The Jury Committee will be looking for quality, consistency and professionalism in your work. The act of applying to the Guelph Studio Tour via this online application indicates that you have read, understood and agree to the requirements. The Guelph Studio Tour reserves the right not to accept any application. New applicants will be notified by June 1st of the results.
