As the Lead of Public Programs, the successful candidate plays a critical role in the development, implementation and administration of a slate of dynamic and engaging public programs. They will be responsible for the delivery of programs based on and in response to exhibitions and the permanent collection, including but not limited to talks and workshops/studio programs, as well as social programs and special events. In addition, they will meaningfully engage with and cultivate new and long-term relationships with community groups, supporting the delivery of community programming. This role will share supervision responsibility for the Coordinator of Interpretive and Public Programs and will work collaboratively within the larger Programs and Learning team.
The successful candidate is someone who has 5-7 years working in the cultural sector delivering public programming and is passionate about art, education and social justice. They are comfortable speaking to Canadian and International historical and contemporary art with a focus on social issues and can do so with an audience of all ages in both a physical and digital environment. The individual will have initiative and strong communication, organization, research and administration skills. They should love engaging with people and have the ability to motivate and lead team members.

The role is full-time (35 hours per week), working a flexible work week, predominantly Monday to Friday, with evening and weekend work as required. The AGH offers a competitive benefit package, and has a salary range for this role of $55,000 – $65,000.
