85 hours @ $40/hr
May 15 to July 31: 40 hours of consultation to develop a technical plan for the festival.
August 1st to August 12th: 45 hours to ensure the smooth technical operations of the festival and be responsible for all technical aspects of the venues.
The Technical/Production Coordinator will report to the Festival Coordinator.
Responsibilities

Developing venue plans/plots (lighting, sound, stage, seating) at three Fringe venues.

Securing technical equipment for venues to meet the needs of artists.

Working with Guelph Little Theatre, Royal City Musical Productions, The Downtown Theatre Project and River Run Centre to organize stage and technical equipment borrowing and returns.

Working with volunteer technicians to develop a technical plan and technician schedule to cover all Fringe shows (Aug 8-11).

Keeping strong communication with Festival Coordinator and Artist Coordinator to keep planning committee and artists aware of tech status.

Creating a volunteer plan for venue set up the day prior to the festival.

Creating a volunteer plan for venue strike on the 11th to ensure venues are put back the way we found them.
Qualifications

At least 5 years experience in Lighting and Sound for theatre or live performance.

Familiarity with venue design and stage building.

Understanding of technical specifications needed to outfit three venues with appropriate lighting, sound, stages and seating.

Valid G driver’s license.
