Apply for an online exhibition with the Carnegie Gallery in conjunction with the 39th annual Arts Dundas Weekend!
The Carnegie Gallery is a not-for-profit arts organization located in downtown Dundas. The Arts Dundas Weekend (ADW) is a four-day festival organized by the Carnegie Gallery to highlight the events of local organizations and businesses in the Dundas community. This online exhibition featuring an emerging young artist from the Hamilton region will be a highlighted event as promoted through ADW.
We are looking to host an online exhibition in any media of a young and emerging Hamilton and neighboring municipalities-based artist. This opportunity is open to all artists and craftspeople ages 18-40 of any background.
This online exhibition will be featured on the Carnegie Gallery’s website for 22 days from October 19th to November 9th. A minimum of 4 and a maximum 20 artworks will be included. This is a showcase only; any sales are to be facilitated by the artist. Through the generous support of the incite Foundation for the Arts we can offer a small artist honorarium.
How to Apply
Submissions will be accepted from July 15th to August 12th through this online link here.
Submissions will include the following:
CV
Artist Statement (300 words maximum)
Images (minimum of 4 and a maximum of 20 samples of work)
– high resolution jpeg format, 72dpi, minimum 1000 pixels on the shortest side
– each labeled as 01_lastname.jpeg )
– for 3D objects, please photograph on a neutral background
– for 2D works please crop as close as possible to the outside border of the work.
Image List (Corresponding Image Information: title, dimensions, year, medium, price)
Only complete submissions using the Submission for Exhibition form will be considered.
Only successful Artists will be contacted via email by 5pm on August 30th.
