Guelph Arts Council is on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who a genuine love for expressing the essence of local art events. Whether you’re a budding wordsmith, an art enthusiast, or just someone eager to contribute, your unique perspective is invaluable to us.
No writing experience? No problem! Our goal is to bring together diverse voices, to support our local arts community. Share your insights, highlight hidden gems, and celebrate the talents that make our local art scene thrive.
What are we looking for?
First and foremost we want you to write about something YOU want to write about. Any and all kinds of stories about art, dance, theatre, music, and all other creative happenings in the community are welcome. Some examples include:
- interviewing an artist that has an upcoming exhibition
- writing a promotional piece on a local band or theatre group with an upcoming show
- writing an exhibition review
- promotional pieces on upcoming local creative/arts events
- an arts story series
