Ed Video Media Arts Centre is seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to join us as our new Executive Director. This pivotal role offers an opportunity to lead and shape the future of our organization during a time of transition. The Executive Director will work closely with our dedicated Board of Directors to steer Ed Video towards its next chapter of growth and impact. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to advance the mission and goals of Ed Video Media Arts Centre.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, including programming, finances, human resources, and community engagement, while effectively managing Staff members.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that empowers Artists and encourages experimentation and innovation.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Stakeholders, Rights Holders, Partners, and Funders to ensure the sustainability and success of the organization.
- Lead efforts to diversify revenue streams and secure funding opportunities to support our programs and initiatives.
- Advocate for the importance of Media Arts and creative expression within local and broader communities.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within the arts, media, or nonprofit sector.
- Strong understanding of contemporary Media Arts practices and trends, with a passion for fostering creativity and innovation.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, organizational development, and resource management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and financial management.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles, with a focus on amplifying underrepresented voices and perspectives.
Position Details: Start Date: May 1, 2024 Compensation: $24/hour, 35 hours/week
